Modern work environment is increasingly moving away from rigid, inflexible working models. Traditional 9-to-5 jobs, where employees clock in and out in unison according to a fixed schedule, are becoming less common. Instead, remote and teleworking, all-in contracts, and flexible part-time models are increasingly dominating the landscape. On the other hand, legislators are demanding a robust, technical solution for accurate and tamper-proof recording of working hours.

Instead, remote and teleworking, all-in contracts, and flexible part-time models are increasingly dominating the landscape. On the other hand, legislators are demanding a robust, technical solution for accurate and tamper-proof recording of working hours.
Comprehensive evaluation and planning tools for vacations, sick days, and other absences help employees and supervisors keep track of the situation regarding working hours at all times. MD-Premium TAA is therefore an ideal complement to the HRM module and rounds off the technical capabilities of MD-Premium's personnel management.
Flexible working time models
Time recording in MD-Premium TAA is based on flexible daily and weekly working time models. In the daily model, you specify how the respective working day may be recorded: flexitime or fixed time, the time window in which entries are permitted, which breaks must be observed, the maximum daily working time, and so on. You can define as many daily models as your organization requires..
In the weekly time model, the daily models are flexibly combined into a working week. In addition to the weekly working hours resulting from the individual daily models, you can also set global topics there, such as the number of vacation days, how overtime is handled, or whether the employee in question is generally absent (parental leave, sabbatical, etc.).
In the final step, you assign the appropriate weekly models to your team. This can also be done very flexibly, with different weekly models for different periods. In this way, you can easily define seasonal working hours or alternating shift patterns in the system. Of course, the system takes public holidays into account, which are managed centrally in MD-Premium via a public holiday list.
Multi-platform time keeping
The time clocks of the 21st century no longer hang on a wall; you carry them with you. Autonomous field staff, teleworkers, and digital nomads shape today's working life. In order to record the working hours of these employees, a mobile solution based on Internet technologies is required. MD-Premium TAA offers this and more.
In the simplest case, one click is all it takes to record a timestamp. This can be done either from the MD Premium application or from any web browser, including tablets and smartphones. This means that your team members can record their working hours around the clock, no matter where they are.
Time stamps are automatically recorded and checked for validity in relation to the active weekly time model. Once saved, time stamps can only be changed retrospectively with special authorization. MD-Premium's flexible rights management gives you complete freedom to decide whether you want to grant these rights to your team members and to what extent. As an example, this allows you to prevent the timestamps themselves from being changed, but still allow the home office designation of the respective timestamp to be changed. You have complete freedom to decide.
If you want to integrate stationary systems, such as chip card readers, into MD-Premium TAA, this can be done via the system's own REST interface or individual programming. Existing time recording software solutions can also be connected to MD-Premium in this way.
Planning & evaluation
Flexible working time models and practical recording of working hours are an absolute necessity for a modern time recording system. A precise overview of working hours and absences is another.
MD-Premium TAA offers comprehensive evaluation options for working hours, both for the employees themselves and for supervisors, approvers, or members of the HR department. Working hours are broken down meticulously, from a monthly overview to the individual time stamps that have been recorded.
Absences such as vacations, time off in lieu, or sick days can be requested using a convenient input mask, similar to time recording. You have the option of specifying different types of absence and how each absence should be handled..
The topic of vacation is a particular focus here. To avoid conflicts and the resulting staff shortages, there is a clear vacation planner where both team members and approvers can get a practical overview of the team's vacation arrangements for a selected period. Based on this information, vacations can be coordinated and approved accordingly.
The product matrix shows all MD Premium features and which module must be licensed in order to use the relevant functionality.
Your questions - our answers
The time of day model defines in detail how a working day should run in terms of time, including target times, core times, breaks and permitted booking times. The weekly time model defines the entire working week by selecting a suitable time of day model for each day (including days off, e.g. weekends). In addition, global settings are made, such as annual leave or how to deal with time credits. Weekly time models are then assigned to the respective employees.
Yes, there is a possibility. In the simplest case, you combine different shifts in a weekly time model. However, this presupposes that shift work is the same every week. With a more dynamic assignment of shift work, you have the option of applying calculation formulas to both daily and weekly time models that allow you to calculate when a model is used and when it is not (for example, even and odd days). However, this in turn requires that your shift work planning follows a pattern that can be calculated in advance according to known criteria.
MD-Premium maintains a central holiday list that is used in different areas of the system. The time recording takes these public holidays into account as half (e.g. Christmas Eve) or completely (e.g. national holiday) non-working days.
Yes, all of this can be mapped by appropriate combinations of day and week time models.
Working time tracking is primarily done via a simple pop-up menu in a web browser. This can be done from any platform that is able to display websites, including tablets and smartphones.
Yes, depending on which interface the device offers. Modern systems typically use web service interfaces that can be connected with little effort via the WSA framework of MD-Premium. Older systems often have proprietary interfaces that can be connected via individual programming.
This is the decision-making authority of the respective customer and can be controlled via the assignment of rights
Yes. There is a separate checkbox that can be set when entering the timestamp.
Yes, there is a vacation overview where all members of a department can see the planned vacations in the department.
You have a free hand in defining different types of absence and how the system handles this absence.
The system offers several levels of overview, starting with a monthly summary, up to the individually recorded timestamps.
Yes. The assignment of rights can prevent timestamps from being changed by unauthorized persons. In addition, timestamps that have been changed subsequently are marked accordingly in the system.
These guidelines set out the following requirements for digital time recording systems:
- Digital systems must be tamper-proof and allow for minute-by-minute recording, including breaks
- The data collected must be accessible to employees and employers at all times
- Time tracking must also be possible for mobile workers / teleworkers
- In the case of digital recording, the GDPR requirements must be observed (clear access regulation, 7-year retention period)
- The entry can be delegated to the employees (self-booking)
Yes, a corresponding integration into payroll accounting systems can be established via the usual interfaces (REST, export, individual programming)
Any system that has modern interfaces can be integrated into MD-Premium.
You can define appropriate weekly time models and assign them globally to the appropriate employees.
